Join St Clement’s Honorary Police and support your Community

The Honorary Police play a vital role in providing parish-based community policing. Regular duties can include attending and organising parish hall enquiries, mobile patrols around the parish, conducting road, speed and drink driving checks, attending road traffic accidents, attending complaints ranging from noisy neighbours to anti-social behaviour, responding to calls for assistance, such as missing persons searches and concerns for welfare as well as assisting with traffic control at events.

Each shift team consists of a Centenier, a Vingtenier and upto 4 Constable’s Officers. A Shift is on duty one week in four but may be required to attend more often in the case of emergencies or to work along another shift if they’re short-handed.

Full training is provided as well as uniform and equipment to enable Officers to undertake their duties as a modern day Police Officer.

Whether it is whilst policing or through social events, we vehemently believe in building a great stron sense of teamwork and committed frendship. It is one of our key drivers to develop our people and their skills that will assist in both their professional and private lives.

We are currently seeking Parishioners to join our team. Joining the Honorary Police is a voluntary commitment to serving the Parish and it’s Parishoners which is both rewarding and interesting. It will require you to give up some of your time to be part of the Parishes important people support infrastructure.

Why not register your interest on the through the Honorary Police website and take time to review some of the testimonials from across the island’s 12 Parish Forces,

We can then arrrange to meet and discuss the requirements and demands of joining the world’s oldest Police Force.

The St Clement Honorary Police really are first class people with a mission to support and help the community in which we live. It would be great if you would consider becoming part of that team.
