Weather warning: Heavy rain expected across Jersey

Jersey Met are forecasting persistent and heavy rainfall for the Channel Islands.

Rainfall is forecast to be with us late afternoon on Tuesday, and become heavy at times this evening and overnight. Further rain and heavy showers are forecast during the day tomorrow.

• More than 25mm of rain is expected

• There is a risk of localised flooding

• Travel disruption is likely in some areas due to surface water and poor visibility

Islanders are advised to:

• Avoid driving through flooded roads

• Check for blocked drains around your property

• Stay informed via local news and Jersey Met weather updates

Teams from I&E are checking gulley’s and will keep a close eye on the forecast from Jersey Met.
