Thank you from the Constable

Dear Parishioners,

We thought Storm Ciaran was a one-off. The Parish Team worked through the night and did a magnificent job learning lessons along the way.

Sadly, these last two storms point the way to a new norm.

Luckily, we have a magnificent team to organise in advance, react quickly, and bring things back to normal.

On your behalf I would like to thank Kim Beaumont who in co-operation with Bev, Our Parish Secretary, Phil our Chef de Police, and Jason our Parish Foreman and our Roads Team drafted what is now our Blueprint for dealing with impending Storms and Disasters in the future.

Kim is our police Liaison Officer an IT Specialist and, a Business Disruption Planner so we were always in good hands. Well done Team St Clément, Especially Kim.

Of course, we need to also thank our Colleagues in SOJ Police, I and E and not surprisingly our bin men who as usual went above and beyond to help.

For information we lost trees on the following roads La Rue du Pignon and La Verte Rue. We also have sadly lost some trees from the front meadow behind the Parish Hall and the back meadow which is through the arch.

These will all be replaced assuming safe locations, in the fullness of time, and in the meantime if anyone has any serious remaining issues regarding damage from these storms, please contact the Parish Hall.

With thanks to one and all.

Marcus
