The details of the workshops are as follows,

We are holding a series of workshops in June and July, with these typically being 2-3 hours in length and will be held on:

  • Workshop 1:      25th June – 9am to 12pm
  • Workshop 2:      25th June – 1pm to 4pm
  • Workshop 3:      25th June – 5pm to 7pm
  • Workshop 4:      26th June – 9pm to 12pm
  • Workshop 5:      16th July – 9am to 12pm
  • Workshop 6:      16th July – 1pm to 4pm

45 Mins            Event and Scheme Introduction

GoJ will present the Shoreline Management Plan and explain how the Havre des Pas Coastal Flood Alleviation scheme fits within the delivery of the plan, the timelines, funding. This will be followed by a discussion of the tasks that we will go through in the workshop and the aims of the workshop and the process to be worked through for the I&E Coastal Team to get input to the scheme’s objectives and features.

90 Mins            Group Discussion

Group discussions on each table to review the scheme extents and answer the following questions:

  • Your concerns regarding the flood risk and the coastal environment within the scheme extents?
  • What you value about the Havre des Pas Coastal area?
  • The priorities we should consider when managing the flood risk at Havre des Pas?
  • Any improvements you want to see related to the coast?

30 Mins            Wrap-Up and Next Steps Presentation

Close to the event and presentation by I&E explaining the next steps in the process and reporting of the results of the workshop events.
